Yesterday, wasn’t as successful as I had hoped it would be.  I had strong hopes for Holdenhurst but the ground conditions changed to Soft and that I believe was the reason fortheloss. Thatsaid he ran a fantastic race to finish a close 2nd. 

Today I have had two bets. 

Newbury 15:00 Frontispiece - He is a 6 year old gelding by Shamardal and he is trained by Amanda Perrett and ridden by Kieran Shoemake. Kieran knows the gelding well havingwon2/5onhim. 

The gelding has a very good record at the course having won 2/3 and is 1/1 over C&D. He has also got a very good record on G/ S having won 3 from 5 races. 


He deadheated in this race last year and today he races off just 1lbs more.  This will be his second race after wind surgery and it is often the second race after such surgerythatimprovementisshown. 

I appreciate the favourite is going to be hard to beat but Frontispiece has the credentials to win this and at 7/1 he is good EW value.
