About Us

For the past 30 years, I have been following horse racing and over the years it has become a passion. I have looked into various ways of trying to predict the winner of races with the aim of making my race betting profitable.
For those of you that have tried to make a profit from gambling on horse racing, you will know all too well that it isn't easy and you will have period of success and failure.  The key thing is to try and learn from both so as to win more than you lose.

Our Story

About 7 years ago, I decided that in order to make a good profit I needed to focus and specialise in an area of racing.  I simply had to find my niche. I therefore looked back over my betting records and it soon became apparent to me that I was having my best success and actually making a fair profit on the UK All Weather races.
I have consistent made a profit by simply focusing on the UK All Weather racing.  There are currently only 6 UK All Weather tracks in the UK which immediately narrows down the amount of races that you need to study and the information that you need to know about each of those course, the trainers, the jockeys and most importantly the horses.

I do spend quite a lot of time studying the form, speed figures, draw advantages, running styles and most importantly I watch a lot of racing.   I always study past races in order to try and understand how I believe the race will be run and to see which horses in my opinion are capable of winning the race.  Last year, I decided that I would write a blog post with the aim of giving others an insight into my race analysis and to hopefully give some guidance in identifying winners and making racing profitable. I tried too cover racing on the flat (turf) and (All Weather), National Hunt mainly in the UK but sometimes covering some Irish racing.  The main focus was on the All Weather  for the reasons mentioned above.

Our Mission

One of the aims when I started the blog was to detail all of my selections so that there was a record of each of the recommended selections and how they faired. The goal was to achieve a profit at the end of a year, if I didn't make a profit then I would see this as a massive failure and the blog would be put to rest for good. By detailing all of the selections and the bets  it gives me a historical trail and I often go back over the races to try and understand where my strengthens and weakness are.  This is very important as you always have to play to your strengths.

It is important to note that for every selection that I post I also have my money riding on the result. It's easy to write about a race and provide a selection especially when you have no money riding on it. However, as soon as you start to put your money where your mouth is then you all of a sudden this focuses the mind.  I hate losing as much as the next person especially to the bookies and I take great pleasure in winning money from the bookies.
